8th September 2014, Miralda’s Memory Vase in the Nonument Exhibition at MACBA.
Miralda’s concept for this competition was to take as a reference one of the vases from the 1700s found in the El Born’s archaeological site in Barcelona and transform it into a piece of urban dimensions. Following this thought, the vase would change scale to become a container for picnics and happenings in the middle of the Ciutadella Park. The huge piece was thought to be built in concrete, externally recovered with glassed tiles resembling the aspect of old pottery. Despite not being selected to be built, Miralda decided two months later to display the process drawings and models for the competition in the Nonument exhibition at MACBA.
