News Jan 2013, The Social Dimension to Collective Buildings

A two weeks workshop, in Barcelona and in Copenhagen, analysing and reflecting on the topic of building community. The aim of the workshop is to study how different aspects of living in community manifest or apply differently depending on the culture and on the latitude where the work is located. To distinguish which designs are more able to create a community and which others don’t. The use of the trip and the comparison of examples help to see objectively the facts, as a way of learning. The students observe and register through hand drawing, model making and films.
