FoodCultura hosts a collection, yet it is not a museum. Various cultural experiences take place there, yet it is not an art gallery either. The explanation for these paradoxes is very simple: we do not like to aestheticize concepts and, even less, to appropriate cultures and traditions.
What we are passionate about is all that is inherent in the culinary bounties, the superstitions and the scientific knowledge. What we are interested in are historical memories, particular idiosyncrasies and gastronomic rituals: a bridge between stomach, brain and heart; here we define FoodCultura. The Boqueria Market offered a stand for our project, and with it the possibility of involving more people in these experiences on the main element of community cohesion: food.
In this way, FoodCultura has become a space that serves as a platform to explore the universe of food and culture, promoting workshops, exhibitions, music and any kind of cooking initiative.
