Expo Tèxtil Yutes
- Associated project Yutes Warehouse
The YUTES textile company only works with natural fabrics and manufacturing processes that are totally ecologic. Above all, they weave with jute, cotton and flax.
The company needed a stand for the annual fairs in Valencia and Frankfurt. Our proposal was to build a minimum structure, which presents the fabrics in the same way as they come from the loom. The 30-metre length rolls unroll to cover the walls and ceiling of the little stand.
The first stand was created for 1993, however, during the following 10 years it continued to transform and extend, whilst always respecting the original structure of the first year.
The first change was the design of a series of tall tables, for the clients to observe the catalogues. The third step was the extension of the stand, and the addition of a higher structure, with a shape of a Y in plan, where curtains could be hanged.
Along these past 15 years, this company has always shown a strong will to take advantage of any previous effort. The decision of working with natural fabrics and to control the production and size of the company, is followed by an ethic for recycling and respect for all that is found, and that existed before they arrived. This was also the case when we made the enlargement of their warehouse in 2002.
