News June 2013, sala Beckett phase 1 construction

Construction process to rehabilitate the former Cooperativa Paz y Justicia in Poble Nou to the activities of the Sala Beckett Theatre group. The project seeks to adapt the former building to its new future use, trying to modify it in a way that new and old act as a unity. The decisions are then taken trying to give continuity to the process of evolution of the building, being careful with choosing materials, colours or light artefacts. Old doors or windows are re-used and moved to new places, attending their qualities to decide where they could give a better use. The works are done slowly, to give way to the new occupation and use of the building in a way that no-one could notice the changes.
